COVID-19: Update 21 August 2020
With the recent gradual relaxing of restrictions, and having put in place all the recommended precautions, we are planning to restart rehearsals on Thursday 10th September. Initially, rehearsals will be for those who confirmed they will be returning when we polled the orchestra in late August. This is to allow us to use a pre-arranged seating plan to ensure adequate social distancing.
All those who are registered to attend - please look out for emails from our Secretary as these will detail COVID requirements and as they will also be the way any changes to rehearsals are notified.
We regret that anyone wishing to join will need to wait until we rework the plan at half term.
Better times will return.
The Watford Workshop Orchestra is a community orchestra for all ages. We welcome new players to enjoy our friendly music-making.
Our repertoire is suitable for adult beginners and anyone wishing to improve their orchestral skills. We play music of varied standards from quite easy to a little more challenging, including pieces by classical and more modern composers. We enjoy developing our playing and orchestral skills in a relaxed environment. We have informal concerts two or three times a year.
We meet most term-time Thursdays, setting up from 7:45pm and playing from 8:00pm to 9:30pm with a short break.
